Our NextVet internship comes with plenty of tail wags and puppy kisses, but the job is far from fluffy. This part-time summer position offers valuable paid work experience* while learning first-hand about the veterinary profession from practice leaders, industry experts, and most of all – from our passionate and caring hospital teams. What you’ll be doing
As a NextVet intern, you’ll spend most of your time behind-the-scenes in one of our veterinary hospitals, where you’ll see our team in action and have an opportunity to shadow a range of positions including veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians.
You’ll also participate virtually in small group sessions exploring many aspects of the veterinary industry, receive ongoing support from our local doctors and market leaders, and have a chance to connect with Banfield senior executives.
Ideal candidates should:
- Love science and have an interest in animal careers
- Be curious and a self-starter
- Be proficient at multi-tasking, including cuddling a kitten while giving them a scratch behind the ears 😹
